About the role

 

Reporting to the Head of IT, the IT Architect will be responsible for designing, developing, and overseeing the implementation of a comprehensive IT architecture that aligns with the long-term strategic goals of the organization. This role requires strong collaboration with various stakeholders across the organization to ensure that technology investments are aligned with business priorities, regulatory requirements, and market trends. The architect will guide the adoption of new technologies while ensuring operational excellence and security in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the country application architecture, ensuring that it aligns with the company’s strategic business objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Design and implement scalable, secure, and efficient enterprise-level technology solutions that meet the unique needs of the asset management industry.
  • Collaborate with global IT, regional IT, senior leadership, business units, and IT teams to align technology strategies with business goals, driving innovation and operational efficiency.
  • Lead the integration of cloud, data, application, and security architectures, ensuring that solutions are consistent, compliant, and optimized for performance.
  • Identify gaps in the current architecture and provide recommendations for future improvements, modernizations, or migrations.
  • Establish best practices and governance for architecture decisions, data management, security, and IT standards.
  • Evaluate and implement new technologies and tools that can drive innovation, reduce costs, or improve business processes within the asset management industry.
  • Ensure all systems and architectures comply with relevant financial regulations and ensure data security and privacy.
  • Serve as a key technical advisor on large-scale transformation projects, including digital transformation, cloud migration, and application modernization.
  • Provide architectural oversight for critical projects, including risk assessment, technical feasibility, and system design.
  • Support IT teams in implementing enterprise architecture strategies and ensuring consistent application across the business.
  • Provide end to end solutions options working with other technology leaders and recommendations.
  • Review and participant in RFPs and providing guidance from a technology/architecture perspective.
  • Assist Technology leads in solution and application design.

Qualifications

  • At least 15 years of experience in IT architecture required, with proven track record in cloud and application development within the asset management or financial services industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Strong expertise in enterprise architectures with proven track record of successfully delivering complex enterprise projects.
  • Proven experience in architecting and implementing cloud solutions such as AWS or Azure.
  • Proven experience in application architecture and design and build of solutions.
  • Extensive knowledge of data architecture (i.e. data governance, data lakes, analytics, and big data technologies).
  • Expertise in application integration and middleware.
  • Strong understanding of security architecture, compliance, and risk management practices.
  • Knowledge of cloud implementation and design required (AWS and Azure)
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business language and effectively influence senior stakeholders.
  • Understanding of Agile and end to end SDLC is required.
